Tournament rules

All tournaments use a buddy format. Entry fees are $60 per boat, for a single day, $100 for 2 day and $30 for guy/gal. $10 lunker fee is included.

There will be a 100% payout for lunker, and 80% on all other payouts. Payouts will be rounded to the nearest whole number.

We require life jackets to be worn anytime the gas motors are running. Also, emergency engine cut-off switch must be attached to driver, when gas engine is running.

No fishing in off limit areas, which, if any, will be announced prior to tournament start.

No alcohol allowed.

No trolling allowed and no-one is permitted to leave their boat to land a fish, or gain an advantage. Nets are permitted.

Please stay at least 50 ft. from an anchored boat (anchored boats must have trolling motor out of the water).

No live bait is allowed. Artificial lures only!

There is no pre-registration cash only the day of the tournament.

No culling of dead fish. 1/2 pound dead fish penalty. Courtesy measurement allowed upon request.

All entrants must be checked in by the close of registration. Those who are late may still compete as long as they pre-registered and paid their entry fee. However, they must check in with any official and have their live well checked, before they can begin. No contestant that has not pre-registered and paid their entry fee may enter the tournament once it starts.

All entrants must be with in 50 feet of the dock, with lines out of the water, when the time is up. Anyone late will be assessed 1 lb. penalty for each 5 minutes late up to 15 minutes, after that it will be a disqualification.

Anyone cited for any infraction by law enforcement officers will be disqualified.

Anyone caught cheating will be banned from all future Cumberland County Bassmasters tournaments and their name filed with the South Jersey Bass Club Association.

Any protest must be in writing to the tournament director before the scales close of the tournament in question!

Please take note - All live fish become the property of Cumberland County Bassmasters and will be released after weigh-in. A potential record fish may be kept by the angler.

The Tournament Director reserves the right to cancel any buddy tournament due to adverse weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.If canceled, all tournament fees will be refunded to applicants.
